Who are Nurse Practitioners?

Nurse practitioners (NPs) are regulated healthcare professionals with graduate-level education and advanced clinical training. NPs are authorized to independently diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform medical procedures. Their role is to deliver high-quality, accessible healthcare services, emphasizing health promotion, disease prevention, and patient education.

Sheryl Tigchelaar

Nurse Practitioner, Founder

Sheryl has over 30 years of nursing experience and has spent more than 11 years as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) providing high-quality care to patients across Ontario. She graduated from Athabasca University in 2013 with a Master of Nursing: Advanced Nursing Practice and holds certifications as a Family NP in Canada and United States.

Sheryl's extensive NP experience includes working with patients of all ages, managing a wide range of acute and chronic health concerns. She has specialized expertise in minor dermatologic procedures, joint injections, and is also a Certified Diabetic Educator.

Her areas of interest include chronic disease management, cardiology, mental health, ADD/ADHD, weight loss, and both women's and men's health, as well as pediatric care. Sheryl is passionate about promoting overall wellness and providing personalized care for every patient she serves.

Sahar Haji

Sahar Haji

BScN, MScN, PHC-NP

Nurse Practitioner, Founder

Sahar is an experienced healthcare provider with over 12 years in nursing, including eight years as a Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Master's of Nursing and Primary Healthcare Nurse Practitioner Certificate from McMaster University in 2017 and is currently practicing in the Kitchener-Waterloo area.

Sahar takes pride in caring for diverse populations, from children to adults and the elderly, offering personalized and compassionate care at every stage of life. She has a strong focus on health promotion, women's and men's health, mental health, ADD/ADHD, chronic disease management, and is skilled in performing minor procedures and joint injections.

In her spare time, Sahar enjoys traveling, interior decorating, and spending quality time with her husband and two children.

Asma Moti

Asma Moti

BSc, BASc, MHSc, RD

Registered Dietitian

Asma is a dedicated healthcare professional with a strong background in nutrition and dietetics. She earned her Master's degree in Health Science in Nutrition Communication from Toronto Metropolitan University and is a Registered Dietitian practicing in Cambridge.

With experience in diverse healthcare settings, Asma is passionate about helping individuals achieve their health goals through personalized and evidence-based nutrition care. Her areas of focus include diabetes education and heart health. She is committed to empowering patients with practical strategies to improve their well-being and quality of life.

In her spare time, Asma enjoys drawing, sketching, reading thriller and horror books, and cuddling with her dog.
