Terms of Service

Effective: September 1st, 2024

We know it's tempting to skip these Terms of Service, but it's important to establish what you can expect from us as you use CAREis Health services, and what we expect from you.

Consent for Virtual Care

At CAREis Health, we offer virtual healthcare services via phone or video call to make your healthcare experience as accessible and convenient as possible.

Benefits of Virtual Healthcare:

  • Convenience: Access care without needing to travel.
  • Accessibility: Connect from anywhere with internet or phone access.
  • Continuity of Care: Stay in regular contact with your healthcare provider.
  • Reduced Exposure: Avoid exposure to contagious illnesses.
  • Timely Care: Receive prompt medical advice and treatment.

Risks of Virtual Healthcare:

  • Limitations in Assessment: Virtual care may not replace a full physical examination.
  • Technical Issues: Possible interruptions due to connectivity or technical problems.
  • Privacy and Security: Although we strive to ensure your information is private and secure, there is a small risk that your health information may be intercepted or disclosed to third parties when using video or audio communication tools. This method of communication is not as secure as a private, in-person appointment in an exam room.
  • Appropriateness: Some conditions may require an in-person visit.
  • Emergency Situations: Virtual care is not suitable for emergencies.

Your Responsibilities to Help Protect Your Privacy:

  • Ensure Privacy: Choose a quiet, confidential location for your consultation.
  • Use a Secure Device and Connection: Use a private computer or device (e.g., your personal laptop or smartphone) rather than a public or shared one and connect via a secure internet connection.
  • Provide Accurate Information: Share complete and accurate health information to enable the best care.
  • Follow up Care: Per the discretion of the nurse practitioner, you may be advised to seek an in-person assessment at your primary care provider's clinic, a walk-in clinic, or an urgent care center if your issue is not appropriate for virtual care

By booking a virtual consultation, you acknowledge and consent to receive healthcare services via phone or video call.
