Please note that in Ontario, nurse practitioners (NPs) are not funded by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP), resulting in a fee for services provided by independent NPs. The advantage of this system is that it allows you to see a provider in a timely manner.

While OHIP will cover laboratory and diagnostic tests, you will be billed for NP services and time. If your personal health benefits cover nursing services or if you have a personal health spending account, reimbursement may be possible; we can provide an invoice for this purpose. All fees are inclusive of HST.
